Ms. Wells, you were the best teacher I ever had. Thank you for being there for me in my greatest time of need and teaching me how to play the music I love. Your memory will live in our hearts and the sound of music will continue playing forever and always.

Ms. Carol,
It has been a few months since your passing, about 8 months or so.  I am in deep thoughts reflecting on our time shared at Carey Middle School.  My years there were fun but having a friend and  a professional in you made all the positive difference.  You made our time at school very smooth and a lot to look forward to in our brief visits - whether it was to just chat or collaborate professionally. 

I miss you so much.  Even  when I moved out of Dallas - I began to miss you and Fred.  I feel so sad at times at the realization that one of the best persons (and there are so, so few individuals that I can refer to as "best person/s" - perhaps 5) in my life is gone.  But where ever you are in HEAVEN - I believe that you are happy, healthy and so alive.  At least, that is how I imagine you: a beautiful face saturated with smiles.

I very recently had a dream about you.  You were scolding Fred because he had not contacted me.  It was just so wonderful to see you so real;  fully genuine, walking, talking, moving around your house  and sharing your love again - Even if just in a dream.

Ohhh, I miss you so much Carol.  I hope that Fred will always stay in touch until Papi God calls us home to party; to serve him and join you in company again.  I send you two arms full of hugs; lots of unconditional love and a sweet "Thank you" for You and Fred crossing my path.  I will do my best to keep up with Fred.

I called my sister Carol frequently last winter.  I was writing these little stories about our immediate family to pass on to the next generation, and I wanted to compare memories.  We both remembered the time I playfully pushed her off the balance beam and broke her leg the day before our summer vacation.  I apologized again, but she said she had a great summer.  She told me stories I had never heard before.  She said, “When I was visiting  Grandmother and Grandfather I must have been cold because they dressed me in layers and layers of clothing and bundled me up in a blanket. I will never forget how that felt.  Snug, secure, safe,  and warm.”
She is feeling that now. I feel it too when I think of her.

Will miss Carol bunches! First person I met at Dallas isd. She wanted to know if I liked to shop. From then on that is what we did together the most.  So that was 1983. She opened her home to me countless times through the years. One time that was really crazy was about 2008 when the whole neighborhood where I lived was without electricity for a day then, it came on for an hour then back out for 3 days. I slept in the guest bedroom at night went to work and checked on the house then  drove to Carol’s to  sleep. It was crazy for me, for Carol it was like come over here we have heat. I will miss the weekly Saturday mornings that we talked about nothing and everything. The warm hugs and generous spirit were never taken for granted. She loved grandboys and was not afraid to tell how she had spent specialized time with each one. Every holiday was enjoyed. The sewing projects that she was continually working on -were amazing! She lived that full life.  She loved you Fred. Many times she would brag on you.
Thanks for allowing her time to spend with the girls weekly. We have great memories!

I was shocked and dismayed to hear of Carol’s passing.  Carol was a joy to work with at Chico’s.  Always sweet and professional,  She was also funny.  We enjoyed talking about our families.  She had so many good things to say about Fred ( the good husband).  She will be missed by all of her Chico’s family.

I was lucky to meet Carol at Chico’s.  We spent many hours working together. I loved hearing her stories of her dog as well as her family.  Carol was a positive influence on everyone around her.  Carol will be missed by her Chico’s family.  My heart and prays go out to her family.
