CAROLYN McKAY MARLEY received the gift of life on February 23,1935 and the gift of eternal life on September 18,2018. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Everett A. Marley, Jr., her parents, Douglas S McKay and Rudelle W. Webb, and a sister, Marjorie M. Murray. She is survived by her two daughters and spouses, Ann and Dennis Chinloy, Jill and Rick Robin and four grandchildren: Kristen Chinloy, Kelly Chinloy, Ashley Robin and Michael Robin and by her sister Helen Williams.
Carolyn graduated from Rice University in 1956. She and Everett were longtime members of St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Houston, where they were both elders and served on various committees over the years. At the time of her death, Carolyn was a member of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, Richardson, Tx. Our parents' greatest legacy is that God was at the center of their life and marriage, they unconditionally loved each other and generously shared their love with all of their family. As our parents rejoice in being united for eternity, all of our family will be celebrating the marriage union of Michael Robin and his fiancé, Chandler McPherson in New York City this weekend.
The family will have a private memorial service and an internment at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Wellness Center for Older Adults, (401 W. 16th St., Ste 600, Plano, Tx, 75075 or wellnesscenteronline.org) where their daughter, Ann, provides professional caregiver counseling for individuals who are responsible for the care of a loved one.
