

A rosary service in her name will be held Wednesday, September 10th at 7pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 Jupiter Road, Richardson, TX.
Her memorial services include a Mass of Resurrection and inurnment, Friday, September 12th at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the church.
Clarita Ronderos de Parada was born December 9, 1930 in Bogota, Colombia to Eduardo Ronderos and Sara Duran de Ronderos. The sixth child and first daughter in a family of fourteen, she left school at an early age to assume the responsibility of running a large household for the growing family. In 1949 she met the love of her life, Alfonso Antonio Parada They were married February 12, 1950 for sixty two wonderful years until Alfonso’s death in April 2013. She is survived by her children: E. Alfonso Parada, Luis F. Parada, Clara Parada Carneiro, and Elizabeth Parada de Clavijo, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Clara was a self-taught woman endowed with an innate intelligence and creativity that enabled her to achieve success in a variety of personal and business endeavors. She was learned, well read, and possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of people, places and events. She also loved music, always had a song on her lips and was blessed with an amazing memory for words and lyrics. Her energy, creativity and enthusiasm were legend. Clara loved to cook and was constantly creating, improving and delighting everyone with her inventions in the kitchen. She loved to entertain and created an environment of love and warmth in the home around which the family bonded. She gave of herself generously, had a genuine interest in every person she met thus making a profound personal impact on those she touched. Her steadfast optimism and sense of humor in the face of adversity was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her abiding faith in God and her love and unconditional dedication to her family defined her. Her spirit endures forever but the void she leaves cannot be filled.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Fund for the Poor.
