He was a kind, generous, and deeply family-oriented man who brought humor, warmth, and steady love to everyone around him. An amazing husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, he truly lived a life centered on the people he loved most.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan, his high school sweetheart, and their three daughters and families: Bridget, Josh, Riley, and Ethan; Rachel, Ajay, Shaan, and Nikhil; and Ashley, Rob, Leah, Alexis, Cameron, and Keira. He is also survived by his sister, Marlene Hart, husband Richard, and family; his brother, Ron, wife Hien, and family; his brother-in-law, Doug Shoaf and family; and his brother-in-law, Steve Shoaf and wife Donna, as well as many dear friends whose lives he touched.
After serving in the Air Force, he built a successful career in aerospace, where he established not only a respected professional legacy but also lasting friendships with colleagues who meant a great deal to him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor him in a way he would have appreciated by enjoying a great cup of coffee, a glass of red wine, and a great steak surrounded by people you love. If you feel moved to give, donations in his memory can be made to the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association, Inc.(https://rarediseases.org/organizations/esophageal-cancer-awareness-association-inc/) to support patients and families affected by esophageal cancer.
He truly loved life, and he reminded all of us to do the same.
