

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David M. Elfers on October 2, 2024. Born on March 5, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Arnold and Catherine Elfers, David was a straightforward man who embraced life’s adventures with a quiet strength.
A proud Marine veteran, David served his country honorably in Okinawa, Japan. For 30 years, he had a passion for baking, creating beautifully decorated cakes that delighted family and friends.
In his later years, David found fulfillment as a truck driver, enjoying the open road and the freedom it brought. He shared a meaningful partnership of 25 years with his wife, Donna, and together they traveled, made memories, and enjoyed each other’s company.
David was a dedicated father to Matthew Elfers and Catherine Perez from a previous marriage. He is survived by his wife, Donna Elfers of Plano, Texas; his son, Matthew Elfers and daughter, Catherine Perez both of North Richland Hills, Texas; as well grandpa to, grandson Gabriel Perez and granddaughter Marisa Perez, David and Allison Fulk and two great-grandchildren.
An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also found pleasure in the comforts of home, often unwinding with a good show on television and He loved College football, and he leaves behind that same passion for the sport in his daughter, Catherine; who will forever cherish those memories, learning all about the game with him! David was a man who valued peace and simplicity, wishing for those he loved to experience life’s beauty without complications. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Alan and Michael Elfers.
