Daymond lived life to the fullest in everything he did, never once did he let cancer get him down – until his death he fought to live. Daymond’s smile and zeal for life were contagious; if you met him you had to love him. He kept everyone around him smiling and laughing even until his last days. Daymond was “Peeps” for the last 27 years to his grand kids and all of the families from his wife Maxine’s in-home day care. He became Maxine’s one and only employee in her day care upon his retirement from the semi-conductor industry. Daymond’s joys in life always encompassed family gatherings and outings; he enjoyed boating, fishing, 4 wheeling, grilling on his back patio and napping in his favorite recliner with a grand baby, great grand baby or day care baby at his side.
Daymond was preceded in death by his twin brother Raymond Floyd, his Father Hugh Sims and his Mother Gladys Sims. Daymond is survived by his wife, Maxine Joyce, his sister Florence Williams, his two brothers; Edward (Eva) and Robert (Barbara) Sims and five children; Pamela Flynn-Steinour(Barry), Ronald Flynn (Rhonda), Tonyia Sampoganaro, Sharon Flynn-Reed (Kelly), Vicki Byam (Robby). His loving grandchildren; Jamie, Michelle, Justin, Heath, Nicole, Leigha, James, Ryan, Bridgette, Sheridan & MacKenzie and four great grandchildren Tek, Connor, Gwen and Gavin and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peeps we love you, we miss you, you will be in our hearts forever – “give ‘em five."
