He is survived by his wife Barbara (Bobbi) Watson and his four children, sons Michael Watson and wife Pam of Decatur, Georgia, Bob Watson and wife Whitney of Quitman, Texas, Thomas Watson of Temple and Horseshoe Bay, Texas and daughter Caryl Johnson of Dallas, Texas.
He is Papa to his beloved grandchildren Taylor Johnson, Hannah Watson, Preston Watson, Hattie Watson, Madison Watson, and Stella Watson.
He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in engineering. He worked on the space program in his early career and then moved to Dallas and worked for many years at Texas Instruments and MCI. During his retirement he enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren as well as studying genealogy.
