Donna and I worked at JCP Marketing together. I hired her to be my assistant but she became my friend and "right arm" in working together. We laughed our way through many a issue. She was 48 days older than I and we joked each year as to who was the oldest and had the most wisdom.  
She will always be a reminder of happy times and the only Redskin I ever loved.
May she RIP.

We laughed a lot, cried over Princess Di and JFK Jr. and we cheered for different football teams (never the Cowboys). Donna stood up with me in my wedding shortly after I moved back to Chicago, and we kept in touch - only not frequently enough.

Marty, Kevin, Tim, Keith - please know how much I loved her and how sad I am now. Over time the pain will lessen but the happy memories never will. Wishing you peace and sending love to all of you.

My dear friend Donna was like a sister.  We worked together and she took me under her wing when I moved to Texas from Chicago.  For my 10 years is the Dallas area, we played, cried and cheered for different football teams.  Donna stood up in my wedding shortly after I moved back to Chicago and we continued to stay in touch, but not frequently enough.  She and the Browne family are about the only thing I miss about Texas.

Marty, Kevin, Tim, Keith, please know how much Donna meant to me and to so many people.  I wish I could be there with you.

My family moved to Plano Tx around the same time that the Browne's moved.  We were both from the same area in Maryland, and we were long time family friends.  We truly became a family when we moved to Plano.  We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas together every year when I was growing up.  We went camping together and just hung out on a regular basis.  I called Donna "Donna", not Mrs. Browne, not Ms. Donna... she was my friend, Donna.  The Browne's house had such a good vibe.  I always enjoyed going over there.  There was constant joking and teasing and I always left with a smile on my face.  I laughed so hard with Donna.  It is a true blessing for someone to make you feel so good just to be in her presence, and that was what Donna did for me.  Donna was my confirmation sponsor.  She was even my hair stylist.  Remember the 80's in Dallas, Texas???  I liked big hair, and Donna knew how to give permanents.  She took the time and rolled my hair in very tiny rollers and stunk up her house with a horrible solution that would frizz my hair out for a good six weeks.  Now that's a friend! 
My heart is filled with sadness that I did not tell her this before she passed.  I loved her and all of the Browne's as my family, and I am sad we drifted apart.  You are a huge part of my history and growing up, and I love you all.  I don't know if I will make the funeral.  I now live at the Jersey shore, but I am dying to take my kids to Plano soon.  I will definitely come by.  I celebrate Donna's life!  She was a true angel here on earth and will remain an angel forever.  Rest in Peace!

Donna and Marty were a major part of our lives when our children were very young.  They were at the hospital when our daughter was born and they are our son's God parents.  We attended their son, Kevin's, wedding and they joined us for our daughter's.  Over the years we shared many hours of laughter, tears, joys and sorrows together.  Even after we lived many hundreds of miles apart, each of us traveled across the country for visits and continued to share important milestones. I remember the last telephone conversation Donna and I shared.  She called us when Glen Freey died and we reminisced about the many hours the four of us listened to the Eagles and other music of that era. Special memories.  Donna could not have been more precious to me if she had been my own blood.  She was so very full of life and love and shared herself willingly.  I will miss her always.

I met Donna on just a couple of occasions.  She seemed like a ray of sunshine, and an incredibly kind and genuine person.  She had such a great spirit and I could feel how much of a positive difference she made to everyone who was privileged to know her.  Her loss is greatly felt and I will miss her a great deal.  I wish to extend my condolences to her husband, Marty, her children, and all members of her family, as well as to those whose lives she touched. She will truly be missed a great deal!
