Doris Jean Price

Doris Jean Price, age 75 died peacefully on June 11, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on February 12, 1937 in Osteen, Florida to Dorothy Wilson Davis and Robert Sanford. She graduated from Holt High school in Holt, Michigan in 1955. She married Terry A. Price on October 10, 1959 in Holt, Michigan. A year later they made their way to Austin, Texas where together, they had three lovely daughters. Doris enjoyed friends and fellowship and entertaining. She especially loved caring for the young as a nanny and the old as a respite caregiver for the elderly. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Smith and her beloved husband of 52 years, Terry; daughters Kerry (Steve) Zamzow, Kelly Schick, Krista (Chris) Henderson; grandchildren, Lindsey (JP) Roberts, Corey (Rachel) Zamzow, Matthew Schick and Megan Schick.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:00am at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home Chapel, 8011 Frankford Rd. Dallas, TX 75252, the family will receive family and friends at a reception immediately following the service also at Ted Dickey West.

The Price family would like to extend a gratitude to all the staff at Presbyterian Village North for their attentiveness and loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doris' name to the American Cancer Society.
