Dorothy was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Albert and Emma Hook. She was the oldest of five children. She enjoyed family gatherings and her hobby was making dollhouses. Dorothy moved to Dallas, Texas in 2013 to be near her daughter and family. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Joan (Barry) Hendrix, her sister, Lillian Hook, and her grandchildren, Colleen Hendrix and Kyle (Lindsay) Hendrix. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Lamb; ex-husband, John Leonard; brother, Albert C. (Louise) Hook, Ken Hook; and sister, Jane (Robert) Jackson.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmstead, Ohio on a date to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the American Breast Cancer Foundation be made in her honor.
