

Edward was raised in Dorseyville, LA. He and his family attended St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of his grandfather Reverend Handy Dominique where he received Christ at an early age.
He moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in the early 1960s where he met and married the love of his life, the beloved late Christina Francis Dominique. They then bought a home in the 8th ward where they raised two children, Shamonda (Dominique) Randall and Troy Dominique. Edward worked for Sears & Roebuck Company for 35 years, where he retired in 1994. He lived in New Orleans for 53 years until displaced by Hurricane Katrina and moved to Texas in 2005.
Edward was devoted to God and a dedicated church member. He served as a Deacon and Treasurer for Second Evangelist Baptist Church under his cousin, Pastor Alvin Spears. He was called upon not only as a Servant of God but as a leader in his household and community to pray for those that were in desperate need of God's presence and favor over their lives.
Edward was loved by everyone that knew him. He had a beautiful personality and his laugh was infectious. He inspired everyone with his kind words and humbled heart. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Edward Dominique was called home on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 12:36 pm. He was preceded in death by his wife the Late Christina Dominique, sisters; Carrie Bell Jordan, Esther Cage and brother, Curtis Dominique.
He is survived by wife Lezenia Dominique (2) children Shamonda (Darrell Sr) Randall and Troy (Alysia) Dominique. (1) stepchild Lechell Chapman (4) brothers: Joseph (Mary) , Wendell (Lois) , Stennett and Ronnie (Josie) Dominique. (2) sisters: Loyce Dominique and Brenda (Chester) Arnold. (9) grandchildren: Darria, Darrell Jr., Daron Randall ; Noel Sr, Skylar and Tatiana Dominique; Syannah, Viktoria Johnson and Bri Brown. (1) Great Grandchild: Noel Dominique, Jr. and a host of nephews and nieces and close family friend Elvira Carter.
