She was married to Bruce H. Morehead on March 27, 1948. Evelyn worked in education with Special Needs students in Tustin Unified School District. She was a member of the Custer Road United Methodist Church and had a passion for cross stitching.
She is survived by her daughters Theresa Caver and Sharron Chapman and brothers Dwayne Barnhill and Jim Barnhill. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Morehead, her son Richard Morehead, Brother Howard Barnhill.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Rebecca Alldredge, Jon Sorrells, William Chapman, Russell Chapman, Sara House, Richard Morehead III, Cheyne Morehead, Crystal Garcia, Ann Morehead, Andrew Morehead, Lora Marks, and Marie Silva. Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday July 18, 2026 at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home.
