Preceded in death by her parents Norman and Rose Osborn and siblings, Helen Lenore Lott, John Joseph Osborn and Rosalie Theresa Getz and niece Virginia Rose Huff. She is survived by her devoted nieces and nephews, Mary-Alayne Hughes, Thomas Lott, Carolyn Miller, Kathryn Pierson, Karen Rhodes-Whitley, Lee Ann LaBorde, Patricia Hawkins, Cynthia Dimidik, James Osborn and John Richard Osborn. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, John H. Getz.
She graduated high school at Our Lady of Good Counsel Academy in Dallas, Texas after which she entered Our Lady of Victory for her novitiate and served the Lord as Sister Mary Loyola. Around 1956 she furthered her studies at Incarnate Word College, San Antonio, TX. Fay excelled in education and attained a master's. After leaving the service she worked at Exon for 12 years before retiring. However, retiring was not enough for her so she worked as a teacher for Dallas School District before finally retiring.
Fay had many friends and family who adored her. She was known for her kind spirit and quick wit. Also, she was devoted to her family and helped with the raising of her grand-nieces and nephews. She loved to travel all around the world and experiencing different cultures. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the opportunity to meet her.
A funeral service will be held on November 11, 2023, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home on 7990 Pres. George Bush Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75252 with refreshments served. Then an interment at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX at 1 p.m. The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the staff at Stonefield Memory Care and Heart to Heart Hospice.
