Gary Ross Hoard

Gary was born on March 10, 1937 in Startex, South Carolina, a son of Jesse and Nannie (Ruth) Hoard.

He is survived by his brother Wayne Hoard, sisters Evelyn Fowler and Jean Blackwell; sons Gary Hoard Jr. and Jeffrey Hoard, and daughters Suzanne Maxwell and Amy Hoard; stepchildren Jill Furr and Lou Delaney. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Bill Hoard and Gerald Hoard, and his loving wife Judith Hoard.

Gary graduated as Valedictorian of Startex High School in 1955 then served in the Air Force. Gary spent 45 years as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church located at 411 N Town East Blvd, Mesquite, TX 75150. Burial will follow at Laurel Oaks Cemetery also in Mesquite.

A visitation will be held the evening prior from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home located at 7990 George Bush Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75252.
