

Gregory W. Stancliff, 44, of Carrollton, Texas passed away on August 6, 2012. Greg was born March 9, 1968 in Shreveport, LA and moved to Plano, Texas in 1977. He attended Plano schools and graduated from Plano Senior High in 1986. He went on to graduate from Texas A&M University in 1990 and also earned his M.B.A. from the University of North Texas. He married Carrie Lynn Stancliff in 1997 and later was blessed by the birth of his children, Jessica in 2000 and Matthew in 2003.
Greg was always involved in community service activities, beginning in Boy Scouts, where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was awarded the honor of the Order of the Arrow. He was involved in coordinating a holiday food and toy donation drive for a number of years. His love of sports was evidenced through his involvement as a coach for his children’s soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, softball, and baseball teams.
Greg also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family to New Zealand and Australia, the Bahamas, Cancun, New Orleans, Colorado, Disney World, Pensacola Beach and Jacksonville.
He thoroughly enjoyed being with friends and family. He was always quick with a smile, a joke and a hug for family and friends. Greg will be missed by all that met him.
Greg is lovingly survived by his wife, Carrie, his children, Jessica (age 11) and Matthew (age 9); parents, Bill and Patty Stancliff; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Susan Stancliff; niece, Meghan; in-laws, Judy and Perry Hanson, Tom and Claudia Heaton, Cindy and John Mark Connolly, Lesley Heaton; nephews, Jacob, Samuel, Andrew Connolly; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; and lifelong and loving friends, Charles and Ann Sadler, James, Charles and Laurie Sadler; Todd Henderson, John Snincak and Todd Peiffer and others too numerous to mention.
A visitation and rosary service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 8011 Frankford Rd., Dallas, TX. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 705 East Peters Colony Road, Carrollton, TX 75007.
The family suggests that contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to a memorial fund for the education of Greg's children. Checks should be made payable to Carrie Stancliff, tabbed as children's education fund and mailed to 3765 Menard Drive, Carrollton, TX 75010.
