

She met the love of her life Edward E. Gates and was married in 1956.
Hazel enjoyed square dancing and camping and was involved in the Dixie Chainers and Camping Squares for many years.
Hazel loved her animals and had many pets during her lifetime. She loved to cook and have family gatherings.
She worked at Otis Engineering, Neiman Marcus and retired from Macy’s.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda Hall, daughter Laura Werneke and husband Clay, grandchildren Brent Hall and wife Danielle, Stephanie Purdum and husband Erik, Amanda Martinez and husband Rob, Matthew, great grandchildren Katelyn Fox, Audrey Purdum, Makayla Hall, Logan Hall, Callie Hazel Hall, and Hannah Purdum. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Fred Fricke. Shortly after her death, her brother Daniel Fricke followed her to be with the Lord.
