

Helen Coulter, 86, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully at home on May 30, 2014 with her husband of 62 years at her side. Helen fought cancer with dignity and grace, and wanted nothing more than for those around her to go on living life to it’s fullest.
Helen was born in Columbia, Mississippi in 1928, the only child of Clyde and Lovie Stovall. She was raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from DePauw University, where she met Al. Helen and Al raised their family in Dallas, Texas and then retired in Georgetown, Texas where they made and enjoyed many new friendships. They recently moved back to Dallas, Texas to be closer to their children and lifelong friends. Helen loved to travel with Al, and was able to see much of the world. Her favorite memories were those of camping in the US National Parks and at Lake Ouachita. She was an accomplished artist, storyteller, actress, bridge player, and an active servant of her church and community. Helen is survived by her husband Al; children Jim, Leslie and Mike; and grandchildren Jeff and Brad Henkel, Kirsty and Calum Coulter. Helen’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00am at Christ Lutheran Church in Georgetown, Texas and on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 10:00am at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas.
