James Franklin Scott

Shortly after high school he entered the U.S. Navy. While attached to the U.S. Navy in Christchurch, New Zealand, he met and married his soul mate, Anita. They had two boys, Anthony and Andrew, both of whom were born in Christchurch. After their duty in N.Z. the Navy moved the family to Brooklyn and to Hawaii. Then after attending college in Florida for 18 months, where their daughter Kathryn was born, he was stationed for four years on supply ships in the Mediterranean. His last duty was as a Navy recruiter in Dallas, Texas. The family settled and stayed in the area after he retired from the military in 1979.

Jim enrolled at the University of North Texas and earned a degree in Production Management. Upon graduation, he worked for Otis Engineering, Northern Telecom and finally spent 17 years at Vistawall in Terrell, retiring from there in 2007.

The family is blessed. Besides Anthony, Andrew and Kathryn, Jim and Anita have two great in-laws, Peggy and Jon and four beautiful grandchildren: Camilla, Hope, Zachary, and Sean.
