OBITUARY

Jason Ryan Hay

April 13, 1989August 31, 2019

Jason Ryan Hay, 30, of Grapevine, Texas, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019.

Jason was born on April 13, 1989 in Dallas, Texas. He was a 2007 graduate of Plano West Senior High School, a 2009 graduate of Collin College with an A.S. degree, and a 2015 graduate of the University of North Texas with a B.S. degree. Jason was a long-term employee of the Marriott Corporation’s Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, where he worked in the Information Technology department.

At the age of 16 when Jason received his driver’s license, he made the selfless decision to be an organ donor. Since his passing, Jason has given the gift of sight and enhanced the lives of more than 70 people.

Jason is survived by his father and stepmother, Gary & Leeanne Hay of Plano; his brother, Eric D. Hay, and stepsisters Gillian Salerno-Rebic and Charlotte O’Connor; grandparents Mary & Jerry Hay of Norwalk, Ohio, grandfather Roger Ballentine of Rowlett; dear friends Rodrigo Cantu and Mary K. Schultz, and an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jason’s mother, Kimberly A. Hay, and grandmother, Kay Ballentine, precede him in death.

A memorial celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 15th, at the Cross Timbers Winery, 805 N. Main St., Grapevine, Texas 76051.
