Jeanean Cannon Weaver, age 54, of Frisco, TX went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 11, 2011. She had battled cancer for several years and we now find comfort in knowing she is now completely healed and reunited with those that have gone before us. Jeanean was born October 1, 1957 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Betty Jean and Henry Cannon. She was the youngest of the four children they had together. She grew up in Hugo, Oklahoma. In 1983 she married Don Weaver and four years later they welcomed their daughter, Lauryn Jewell Weaver, into the world. Jeanean worked for many years in marketing; an opportunity that allowed her to travel across the world. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, traveling and soaking up the sun. Traveling to the Virgin Islands and Hawaii were some of she and Lauryn’s most treasured moments together as they both share a love for the beach. She was known for having fun and you could count on Jeanean to make you laugh. She was truly a remarkable woman who will always be remembered for her loving spirit and her kind soul. She had a love for laughter, and beautiful sense of humor. She truly enjoyed the time she spent with her “Sisterhood”! The fun times that were shared with Cande, Becky, Tina and Cathy are precious memories that they each cherish. Jeanean always loved spending time with her family, from pasture parties to girl’s weekends, she was the life of the party. Shortly after her cancer diagnosis, she began volunteering at the cancer center. She loved the opportunity to spend time with others battling cancer, this gave her the chance to use her gift in life to make others smile and laugh. She had many family and friends by her side in the last days of her life. Jeanean and her family both are eternally grateful for friends like Laura Stengle who showed her selfless love and friendship through her devotion to care for a friend in need. We know that she is forever grateful for the love and care that each of them expressed toward her. A countless number of people prayed her through this journey and she could not have made it as gracefully as she did without those prayers. Jeanean is part of a beautiful legacy of Christians that love and serve the Lord. Though we are sad that her life was too short, we believe she is now rejoicing with the women who helped mold her into the strong and beautiful woman of God that she had become. We know that we will be together again as we share eternity free of the pains of this world. Our comfort is in the promise of the Lord that He shares, in John 3:16.
Jeanean is preceded in death by her Grandfathers: Vernon Pratt and Arthur Cannon; Grandmothers: Betty Jewell Pratt and Carrie Cannon; Mother: Betty Jean Cannon; Father: Henry Cannon; Aunt: Rita Jo Lathrop and Brother: Jeff Cannon.
