Jennifer Marie Dykes

Jenny was a 1993 graduate of Plano East Senior High School. She was Assistant Director at Prestonridge Daycare for several years. Most recently, Jenny earned her Associate’s Degree in Social Work from Collin County Community College. She had a passion for helping stroke victims, and had aspirations in counseling stroke survivors.

Jenny lived a life of great purpose. When facing adversity, she kept a positive attitude and persevered. Jenny had a greater influence on people than she would have ever known – people who encountered her left with a greater understanding and appreciation of life. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and positive attitude. Jenny will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glen Thorn, Irwin & Ruth Dykes, and James D. & Catherine Pottinger. Jenny is survived by her parents, Gail & Jim Pottinger, and James G. Dykes; brother and sister-in-law, Greg & Sarah Dykes; nephew, Stefen Dykes; niece, Britta Dykes; grandmother, Betty (Law) Brown; and constant K9 companion, Max.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6-8pm, with a Rosary Service beginning at 6pm, in Ted Dickey West Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75023.
