Joan Lorraine Eddy

February 17, 1934January 31, 2020

Joan Eddy, 85, of Plano, TX, passed away January 31, 2020 Joan was born on February 17, 1934 to Joseph and Julia Thiel in south Milwaukee, WI.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years Donald Eddy. Her parents; Joseph and Julia Thiel; her sister, Jane Inlow; and her brother, Paul Thiel.

She graduated from Marquette University and worked in that field for many years. Her real passion was painting. She was a member of The Society of Decorative Painters for many years, until she lost her sight. She also loved athletics and animals. She was a fighter. Never complained when she was sick. She was a amazing wife and Mother. She's gone, but will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her son Brian Eddy, her daughter Karen Goolsby and her husband Johnny Goolsby, and many family and friends.

Joan was a active member of St. Marks the Evangelist Catholic Church and choir member in Plano TX.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Cliff Smith, Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 11am at St. Mark's Catholic Church 1201 Alma Dr. Plano Texas 75075.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Mark's Catholic Church in memory of Joan L. Eddy.

Dear Karen and Brian,
So sorry for your Loss.
Aunt Joan was a very sweet Aunt and my Godmother.
She passed away 2 years to the day that her brother my Dad passed away. I know they are in heaven having a nice chat.
