

“Joe” was born on November 17, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama. He was one of seven children.
Joe served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961.
On December 27, 1963 he married Margaret Ann Curtis of Amarillo, TX.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana State College in 1968. He worked as a pharmacist until his retirement in 2013.
Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret, his two children, Jeff Majors along with his wife Cheri, and Lori Hunt along with her husband Danny, and 4 grandchildren: Dillon, Jackson, Kyle and Maddie. He is further survived by one brother, Joffrey along with his wife Verna, and many nieces, nephews and other loved relatives.
In addition to his parents, John K. and Lillian Majors, Joe was preceded in death by five siblings: Agnes, Maxine, Ann, Wendell, and Reunea.
Visitation will take place from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20th at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Dallas, TX.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 21st at Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland, TX.
Burial will take place Tuesday, February 24th at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Joe’s memory to Eastern European Missions: PO Box 670928, Dallas, TX 75367.
