John Leon Benyak

John's educational background includes a BS degree in Business Administration from St. Vincent's College in Latrobe, PA and a MBA degree from Texas Tech University.

After college, John served as a Management Engineering Officer for four years at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas, attaining the rank of Captain. While in Lubbock, John married Dianne Bordelon on June 5, 1965.

After leaving the Air Force, John had a successful career in human resources in several industries including oil and gas and telecommunications.

John is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Benyak and Bernie Benyak. Survivors include his wife and son Brad Benyak, daughter-in-law Robin and granddaughter, Brynn, all of Prosper, Texas.

After retirement, John and Dianne moved from Plano to Heritage Ranch Senior Community in Fairview, Texas in 2008. He enjoyed playing tennis and participating in activities at the Heritage Ranch Clubhouse.

John was a good husband, father and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and will truly be missed.

Arrangements are with Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Services and burial will be private and will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
