Larry Wortham, age 72, of Garland, TX, passed away on March 12th, 2025. He was born in Mexia, TX on July 6th, 1952. He was married to his loving wife, Barbara Wortham, for 52 years. Larry worked as an electronic engineer and inventor with more than 18 patents issued in his name. He was a dedicated member and volunteer at Woodcreek Church in Richardson, TX for 40+ years. He was also an avid handyman and do-it-yourself-er, and designed and built the family lake house in Athens, TX with his own hands (and a little help from the family), where he loved to feed and photograph the deer. He also loved music and enjoyed strumming on his guitar. And if ever anything was broken, you could be assured he would fix it.
Larry was a dedicated and loving husband and is survived by his wife Barbara, his sons, Steve, Mark, and Tommy, his daughters-in-law, Karen, and Blanca, and his grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor, and Clara. He was a man of faith who loved the Lord. His family and friends were very dear to him and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
