Lloyd Dean Jones

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Lloyd Dean Jones, 77, of Murphy,Texas, passed away peacefully at his home March 11th, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 27, 1948 in Dallas, TX and resided in Murphy, TX for the last 19 years. Lloyd worked in the Real Estate and Mortgage industry for over 50 years, earning many awards and recognition. Lloyd served as chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission of Murphy, TX for 7 years.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Jones, of Murphy, daughter Jessica Jones-Garner and husband Kenny Garner of Dallas, daughter Kellie Langle and husband Ronnie Langle of Murphy, grandson Dylan Sherrill and wife Sarah Sherrill of Plano, granddaughter Melissa McCaslin of Murphy, grandson Blake Langle and fiancée Nadia Martinez of Dallas, and his great-grandchildren, Grayson Sherrill, Elizabeth Langle and Eliana Langle. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam L Jones and Thelma Jones of Dallas TX.

He will always be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and one heck of a problem solver.

A memorial service will be held at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home at 7990 President George Bush Turnpike Dallas, TX 75252 on March 20th, 2025 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
