Passed away on June 12, 2014. She was born on September 1, 1917 to Charles and Gertrude Scheel in LaGrange, Illinois. Lois is survived by her grandchildren, Peter Douglas and wife Amber, Emily Redondo and husband Peter, Adam Douglas and wife Kristen, Erika Douglas, and Andrew Douglas and wife Cathe’; daughters in law, Mary Ellen Douglas, and Kathy D’Onofrio; 12 (Phoenix, Shelby, Ben, Devyn, Morga, Devon, Shelby, Rebecca, Stella, Spenser, Caden, and Kane) great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded by her husband, Robert Douglas; sons, Dan Douglas, and Rick Douglas; and brother, Leland Scheel. For over 20 years Lois was a valued and faithful member of St. Andrew UMC, serving God and others through her participation. She loved knitting, watching her Dallas Mavericks, and seeing and talking to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
