Margaret Weeks Blythe Toussaint passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, after a four-year journey with ovarian cancer. She was lovingly cared for in her final months by the team at Three Oaks Hospice, for whom the family holds deep gratitude.
Known to many as Margo, she lived with grace, grit, and an open heart. Born in the Texarkana area, she made her home—and her mark—in Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science in Health Sciences from Texas Woman’s University. Margaret dedicated her career to women’s health, working passionately to connect women with the care and resources they needed. She spent 15 years with the American Cancer Society, supporting individuals and families through their hardest moments. Her commitment was never abstract—it was deeply personal.
When her own diagnosis came, Margaret met it not with fear, but with clarity and courage. She chose to undergo years of invasive treatment so that others might benefit, ultimately spending her remaining time in service to others.
She was also a voracious reader, a sharp political observer, and a devoted sports fan—especially of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. A deeply intuitive and thoughtful presence, Margo brought steadiness, insight, and quiet strength to every relationship and room she entered.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert Toussaint, Jr.; her daughter, Melissa Chaiken (Rob) of Plano, Texas; her son, Brett Blythe (Allie) of Washington, D.C.; and her grandchildren: Cora June, Spencer, and Isabella; additional grandchildren, Stefan, Alex, and Andrea; and great-grandchildren Wylder and Benson. She is also survived by Robert’s grandchildren—Philip, Johanna, Ben, and Catherine—and one great-grandson, Akiva. Numerous cousins in the North Texas area also survive her.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Brandon Sawyer and the GYN-ONC team at Baylor Sammons for their thoughtful and loving care throughout Margaret’s illness.
Margo was part Cherokee and carried the spirit of the bear—strong, protective, and deeply intuitive. Her elegance was not about appearance, but presence. She lived with purpose, thoughtfulness, and quiet dignity, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, service, and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to a women’s health organization of your choice.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 4 pm to 7 pm, Stonebriar Country Club, 5050 Country Club Drive, Frisco, TX 75034
