Marie Yvette Nabours

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Homer Nabours; her daughter Lynne Beach and husband Mark; her grandchildren Josh Northcutt, Sarah Morales, Morgan Leigh Beach, and Travis Beach; her great-grandchildren Ryan Northcutt, Juliana Northcutt, Bella Morales, Carter Northcutt, Ethan Morales, Elijah Morales, and Katharine Northcutt; as well as 3 of her sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by Louise Linhart, her daughter.

Yvette met and married Bob, a native Texan, in Canada during his service in the Canadian Army during WWII. After 26 years, they moved to Texas and eventually moved to Galveston where they were active in the Galveston Historical Foundation. She attended Galveston College’s art classes to fulfill a lifelong dream to learn how to paint and joined the Galveston Art League. She was loved by everyone she met especially children because of her patience, gentle nature, humor, and generous spirit.
