Matt will always be remembered as a kind, fun loving, open minded man with an encyclopedic knowledge of music, sports, pop culture, and cocktails. He was the kind of guy you could talk to about anything under the sun, and he had a natural ability to relate to and make anyone smile with his witty banter and unique take on the world. Any time spent with Matt was usually a laughing, good time. He had an undeniable passion for music, always searching for the next album or song that spoke to him. Many will not be able to hear a Foo Fighters song without thinking of him.
A native Dallasite, Matt was fiercely loyal to all Dallas sports teams, especially the Cowboys and Mavericks. Just like his friendship, his loyalty to his teams never wavered after a loss or a bad season. We will miss his cheerful smile and unique ability to make you feel like the only person in the room.
Unbeknownced to some, Matt had a true appreciation for the culinary arts. And behind the tough-looking beard was a deep affection for animals, especially cats.
