

He was born on February 21, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Charles Frederick and Helen (Hitchcock). Michael's life was a testament to devotion, love, and a uniquely subtle sense of humor.
A proud alumnus of Blessed Sacrament, Bishop Heelan High School, and Morningside College, all in Sioux City, Iowa, setting the stage for a distinguished career as a senior executive in healthcare human resources. He enjoyed tennis and golf, and he was also an avid reader. He especially loved watching his grandchildren in all their various school activities.
Michael shared 59 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Jeanine (Madigan), having been married on December 26th, 1964, in Carroll, IA.
In addition to his wife Jeanine, he is survived by his son, David, grandsons Carson and Sean; Son Charles, wife Emily, grandsons Zack and Jackson; Son Patrick, wife Lauri, grandson Matthew; Son Nathaniel, wife Roxanne, grandchildren David, Kaylie, and Meredith; Son Douglas, wife Marla, grandchildren Destiny, Madison, Stella, Willow, Nolan, and Trinity; Great-grandchildren Emmett and River; Sister Gail Stilwill, brother Ted (Judy) Stilwill; Sister-in-law Maureen (Bruce) Schulz and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Ann, his parents-in-law Leonard and Dorothy Madigan, and sister-in-law Linda (Arden) Bluml. Michael leaves a legacy of love, wisdom, and a lasting impact on his entire family.
A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Community in the Chapel, 5100 W Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75093, at 11:00 AM, February 10th, 2024, where friends and family are invited to celebrate his life.
