She was born in Daingerfield, TX on April 9, 1925. She was married to William Thomann on February 17, 1942 and they were married for 52 years. Throughout her lifetime she traveled and worked in many cities around the country but lived predominantly in New York. She returned to live in Texas 16 years ago.
Her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a positive force for everyone she met and demonstrated unending faith in the Lord. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Matz and Cathy Ruelas, son-in-law, Gary Matz; 4 grandchildren, Kristin Matz Kane, Jaimee Matz McClellan, Gary Matz Jr., Daniela Ruelas and 5 great grandchildren. She is survived by 3 sisters, Dorothy Hargiss, Pat Kelso and Bon Forrest. She is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Livingston and sister, Faye Jacobs.
Her ashes will be interred at Pinelawn Cemetary, Farmingdale, NY with her husband William at a later date.
