Mitchell Todd Swenson

Passed away on August 30, 2015. He was born on January 7, 1991 in Dallas, Texas to Todd and Nelda (Raines) Swenson. Mitchell is survived by his loving parents; sister, Megan Rose Swenson; paternal grandparents, George and Caryl Swenson; maternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Raines; aunts, Lisa Turner and husband Larry, Gina Swenson, Debbie Thompson and husband Walter, and Mary MacLauchlan and husband John; uncle, Fredrick Raines and wife Christina; cousins, Philip Greenwood, Stephen Greenwood and fiancé Kanda, Christopher Raines, Austin Raines, Nathan MacLauchlan, Samantha MacLauchlan, and Stephen MacLauchlan; second cousins, Haley Roe, and Penny Jo Greenwood; and a host of many other family and friends. He is preceded by his cousin, David Greenwood. Mitchell attended LSU after receiving the Golden Oaks Scholarship. Mitchell was a member of The Golden Band From Tiger Land, The Bengal Brass Basketball Band, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Tiger Tenors, Delta Sigma Pi, Beta Zeta Chapter, Institute of Internal Auditors Baton Rouge/Student Chapter and many other organizations. Mitchell was a devoted Christian and loved by everyone. Mitchell loved playing his trumpet and will be playing with the Angels along with Kayleigh Billings.Visitation for Mitchell will be on Friday September 4, 2015 at Ted Dickey West from 6-8 pm. Service for Mitchell will be on Saturday, September 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Ted Dickey West at 1:00 PM.
