She graduated from Greeley Central High in Colorado and studied Kinesiology & Physical Education at the University of Northern Colorado.
Paula’s working career was very diverse and she traveled to many places beyond North America. She made the most out of every trip, using her personal time to learn about the culture of the place.
Paula loved her family fiercely, she had the kindest of hearts. Even though she had no children of her own, she was Mother-hen to her siblings. Mother hens are known for being overprotective, but they’re also great at letting their chicks figure things out for themselves. Her later years were spent in selfless devotion, taking care of her Father and Step-Mother.
Paula had a passion for her beloved pets, music of all types (The Beatles #1) and reading! Anything Disney, whimsical and uplifting. She enjoyed many hours climbing through her family tree. She was a life-long strong advocate for Human & Civil Rights… for all people!
Paula is lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings: Ronald P. Frick and Vincent P. Mazzie of Texas; John P. Frick of California; Marilyn Zehentner, Sandra Battles and Patricia Templeton all of Texas; Candance Vande Ven and Laura Kelley of Colorado; Sylvia Lemmons of Arizona. She has numerous other family members and friends that will greatly miss her as well.
Paula was preceded in death by her Husband, Gene T. Saunders; Mother, Marjorie O. Mazzie; Father, Paul E. Frick; Step-mother, Carol A. Frick and her Brother, Richard F. Frick.
It’s important to grieve a loss, it’s for our soul. It is powerful evidence of the love we hold in our hearts. We rejoice in the truth of how blessed we are to have had Paula in our lives. She will live on in our memories, in our hearts. Energy stays. Essence stays. The soul is unending.
Our sweet Paula, we hold you in our hearts with love & remembrance, until we meet again
