Rebecca Sue Toben

Rebecca “Becky” Toben, 71, passed away on June 5, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on March 27, 1955, in the St. Louis area, where she spent her early years and developed the values that guided her throughout her life.

Rebecca was intelligent, hardworking, and deeply dedicated to her profession. Her career eventually led her from St. Louis to Dallas, where she built a successful career with IBM and earned the respect of colleagues through her discipline, precision, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she enjoyed sharing breakfasts and lunches with friends, valuing the simple pleasure of good conversation and lasting friendships.

A private and independent person, Rebecca lived with quiet strength and integrity. Those closest to her knew her as thoughtful, loyal, and dependable. She expressed her care for others through her steady presence, reliability, and unwavering support.

Rebecca is survived by her siblings: Rick (Martha), Rita (Tom), Roger (Susan), Robert, Ron, Regina, Rodney (Kirsten), and Ryan (Nicole), as well as many nieces, nephews, and loved ones who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruth Toben of Villa Ridge, Missouri.

A private service will be held in accordance with Rebecca’s wishes. Her family invites those who knew her to remember her with gratitude and to honor the quiet strength that defined her life.
