

Richard Dee Cordell - Born May 17, 1963 at Blytheville AFB in Blytheville Arkansas lost his fight with ALS Friday Nov 8, 2013. After being diagnosed in 2009, Richard was determined to fight the disease, but after several years, he lost his battle due to complications associated with his illness. Richard was the son of Howard D and Alecia N. Cordell. He had an exciting life growing up as a military child and later joined the US Air Force first in Special Ops and ultimately closing his military career as a Law Enforcement Specialist . His love for motocross with his two brothers Kris and Eric was the love of his young life. After his career in the military he worked as a Graphic Artist until his disease eventually eliminated his abilities. His greatest love was his daughter Zoe who provided inspiration to fight his battle with his disease. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Howard D. Cordell, grandparents Mary and Ted Cordell and Joe and Hazel Shobert. Survivors include his daughter Zoe, mother Alecia N. Cordell, brother Kris and wife Marta and brother Eric and his wife Kristine and nephews Jackson and Joe. Aunt and Uncle Larry and Judy Hames, Aunt Diane Scott and his Cousin Kevin Frank, Aunt Teddy A Boler and Cousins Bryan and Janabeth, Aunt Clara Shobert and cousins Teddy, Angela and Cindy. The family is holding a private service for family and caregivers Wednesday November 13th in Plano, TX.
