

Robert Brian Northam (Bob) of Plano, TX, formerly of North Bellmore, NY passed away at the age of 70 on October 5, 2026 after a long battle with kidney and heart disease. His loving wife of 35 years, Donna Krech Northam was at his side. Bob was pre-deceased by his father, Robert Edward Northam and his mother Barbara Ann Northam. Bob is survived by his son, Craig Northam (wife, April) of Carlsbad, NM; his daughter, Torie Northam Hutchins of Providence Village, TX and two grandchildren, Brayden Robert Smith and Brynlee Nicole Smith of Providence Village, TX. He is survived by his siblings, Steven W. Northam (wife, Jane) of Fallbrook, CA; Susan Northam (longtime partner, Phillip Kisamore) of Wylie, TX and Nancy Northam Leibundgut (husband, Eric) of Hampton NH. Additionally, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Deborah Krech Gorman of Hopedale, MA; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from Northeastern University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and from Boston College in 1980 with a Masters in Business Administration. After a brief career with the Drug Enforcement Administration in New York, he spent 21 years in Finance Marketing at JCPenney. In retirement, he pursued his dream of becoming an author. His published books were “The ABC’s of the Big D” (dialysis), “My Girlfriend the Vampire”, “Lyria” and “The Night Child” (vampire horror).
Bob was a devoted family man. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, siblings and cousins. He had a special place in his heart for his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong devotee of physical fitness and loved working in his yard at Hampton Beach, NH. He was an avid reader and was fascinated by Space Travel, Paleontology and Ocean Science. He followed the Texas Rangers, The New York Islanders and the New York Giants.
A private funeral service will be held in the future at Hampton Beach, NH.
