

Mrs. Davis was a fourth generation Texan, the youngest of four children born in Strawn, Texas, to Kate Vernon and Henry Paul Manns, She moved to Palo Pinto, Texas, where her mother was county treasurer. She received her education at Mineral Wells High School, Midwestern University, SMU, and North Texas University where she received a degree in English History. She was a teacher of government and history in Dublin and Wichita Falls before moving to Dallas in 1973.
She was employed by Placid Oil Company for ten years as an in-house landman and manager of Lease Records and Division Order.
She was a member of Brookhaven Country Club and enjoyed golf and the friends she met playing the game. Rosemary had two holes-in-one as luck would have it. Rosemary had a lifelong passion for words, loved dictionaries and puzzles.
Her travels took her many places and she particularly enjoyed those with her grandchildren, Rosemary Lauren and Clinton Glosup, to London and Paris. Her daughter, Christina Glosup, sister Ann Dana, and husband Jack also indulged her love of travel. Jack let her look at all the castles she wanted until the sun went down and the restaurants closed.
She met and married Jack Davis in 1977 with whom she had immediately fallen in love.
Rosemary and Jack were happily married for 36 years. She is survived by her five children, Michael Davis of Denton, Mitchell Davis of Houston, Rickard Davis of Albuquerque NM, Christina Glosup of Dallas, and Stephen Servies of Vail CO; 7 grandchildren, Carrissa, Colin, Clair, and Kira Davis, Rosemary Lauren Magill, Clinton Marshall Glosup, and Tina Milligan; 6 great grandchildren, Devin Christine, Jaidlyn Estella and Marlee Reese Magill, Marshall Elias, Jaxson Erick Glosup, and Madison Milligan. She is also survived by two brothers, Paul Manns of Arizona, and Malcolm Manns of Odessa. Memorial services for Rosemary will be on Wednesday, December 2, 2014 at Church of the Holy Communion 17405 Muirfield Dr, Dallas, Texas at 2:00 pm.
