Samuel Merritt Johnston, age 64, passed away on July 17, 2012, at his home in Plano, TX. He was born on April 24, 1948 in New Haven, CT to Bill and Betty Johnston. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marian; daughters, Brandi Johnston, Courtney Williams and husband Steven; grandchildren, Samantha “Sammi” and Gabe Williams; brother, Dexter Johnston and wife Anne; sister-in-law, Anne Tanner and husband Geary; and loving nieces and nephews. Sam enjoyed boating, snow skiing, grilling by the pool and traveling around the world with his wife. He loved his family and will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Sam’s life will be held at a later date. The family asks that no flowers be sent.
