Sam has had such a huge unimaginable impact on my life. Im a sophmore now, and in my 8th grade year i hung out with Sam for 2 hours everyday. He would sometimes be my motivation to get up and go to school in the morning , and spending time with him would give me something to look forward to each and everyday. Even after i started freshmen year, me and my friend would go by the school early in the morning to visit and check up on him. He has brought so much joy into my life and taught me so many things. Sam is one of my biggest inspirations, and when i went to the service i realized just how many people Sam touched with his life and how big of an impact he had on the world already. I loved Sam like he was my brother, and he had an amazing personality and anyone was lucky to be blessed by meeting him

Jennifer, Abby & Tim,

My heart aches with sadness for you in your loss. Although my family never had the opportunity to get to know Sam, his smile has touched me through pictures over the years. As we both know too well, sometimes it is so hard to understand why things happen as they do but I know this for certain, God knew that Sam would need a very special family and that's why He gave him to you. The pictures in the video brought back so many wonderful memories of our friendship and I wish I was there to give you and Abby and Tim a hug. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Be strong my friend and know that Sam is in a better place, reunited with his dad, and that you have many who love you and care about you and are keeping you close in their hearts.

Sam the man; what a delightful soul! Dave and I will always remember Sam for many reasons, in addition to being one of Grant's BFF. Sam was a happy, social child. His smile could light up a room. As one of Sam’s teachers, I remember him loving to be surrounded by pretty young ladies at school. He would smile as we teased him saying “hubba, hubba, Sam the lady’s man.” Sam also enjoyed playing ball with Ms. Lu. Dave remembers Sam in elementary always very content and confident –everyone liked Sam and Sam liked everyone. It was clear he was loved by many and will be missed so very much. We will forever love Sam.

I remember very distinctly the first time I met Sam. He touched my heart that day and every time I saw him after that. I'm so blessed to have known him. I will always remember his smiles and the smiles that others had when being with him. I hope your friendships, family and faith assist you at this very difficult time.
