Sharon Baer

April 1, 1946February 1, 2011

Sharon Lee Baer, 64, passed away on February 1, 2011, after waging a courageous battle with a rare cancer for over a year. She was born in Little Rock on April 1, 1946, to Leroy and Ruby Miles and brother, Robert. She attended Central High where she was a cheerleader and UALR where she became a member of Tri Delta sorority. She married a fellow Arkansan, Michael, in 1968 and their first son, Joshua, was born in Little Rock in 1972. She lived in New Orleans before moving to Dallas where their second son, Brandon was born in 1980. She lived in Baton Rouge, Memphis, Harrisburg and Boise before returning to Dallas to live the last 15 years of her life, where she established a very successful career in production music licensing. But, she was always an Arkansan in her heart. In 2008, two new members were added to her immediate family with daughter-in-law Jenny and grandson Oliver and she was never happier. She was a shining example of unconditional love and the love of laughter and life. She will be missed by all she left behind as Heaven gained a worthy soul and laughter just grew a little. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Antioch Missionary Church on Saturday, February 5, at 2pm.

Mike....The write up in the Guest Book is a great tribute to Sharn...sorry that we could not be there for the Celebration of her life. She was just like one of my own children although I failed by not being there for her.

Sharon is our dear, dear friend. We have enjoyed so many good times with her through the years. Seeing Sharon and Michael was always a fun and happy event that we looked forward to. Sharon was a good and loyal friend that was steadfast through the journey of life. Even this last year she reminded me of what we had to be thankful for. Sharon was successful, smart, sophisticated, fun, and kind. In the end, she showed us how to face terrible adversity with grace and courage. She fought like a warrior against the cancer. She leaves a beautiful legacy with her friends, family, husband, sons, and grandson. Heaven has just received a beautiful, blond, really fun angel. Her faith lets me know we will see her again.
