Shelby K Epling

Shelby was one of those rare people whose presence left a mark. She was resilient, full of life, deeply in tune with the universe around her, and unapologetically herself.

To those she loved, Shelby was fiercely loyal. She was someone you wanted in your corner. Her love, support, and the way she showed up for the people who mattered to her will never be forgotten.

Shelby experienced tremendous loss during her life, yet somehow continued to carry strength, spirit, and love with her. There is comfort in believing that she is now reunited with her beloved brother and daughter, who went before her—a reunion that was far too long in coming.

While Shelby is reunited with those she missed so deeply, she leaves behind a family who will miss her just as deeply: her son and daughter, their spouses, her grandchildren, her niece, and many others who loved her dearly. She also leaves behind her two beloved kitties, who were such an important part of her world and will continue to be cared for, spoiled, and loved just as she would want.

Her absence will be felt in so many places, but so will her presence—in her family, in the stories that will continue to be told, and in the laughter, strength, and love she gave throughout her life.

Shelby lived with resilience, intuition, and a connection to something bigger than herself. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, the energy she brought into this world does not simply disappear. It remains in the people she loved, the memories she created, and all the lives that are different because she was part of them.

Rest peacefully, Shelby. May the universe welcome you home, may you be surrounded by those you have missed, and may you know just how deeply you were—and always will be—loved.
