Shelia was the daughter of a military father and spent her childhood traveling from base to base and country to country. She was happy all the time and full of energy. She loved Alaska and Italy. A few of her fondest memories were spending a month in the mountains, in Italy, learning to ski and speaking Italian. There was also the time, in Italy, when her Dad tried picking her from class in a wrecker. She said it was kind of “crazy.” She graduated high school in Alabama. She had a Jehovah Witness background.
Shelia married her soul mate, David Meyer, Wednesday, January 1, 1986 in Garland, Texas. The couple shared thirty amazing years of marriage together. The marriage gifted them with three beautiful children Blake, Drake, and Alexas.
Shelia will always be remembered for her deep concern with humanity and the world. She was always trying to save the planet. She did her small part by recycling and do anything she possibly could to make the world a better place.
Shelia liked sports, especially Football and Hockey. She was very good at announcing calls (better than some men). She was fond of the beach. She loved Lincoln Park, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Deff Leopard, and R&B music. She also enjoyed Octoberfest.
Shelia is survived by her husband, David Meyer; son Blake Meyer; son Drake Meyer; and daughter Alexas Meyer; mother Bonnie Celeste Wilkerson and father Dale Eugene Wilkerson.
