She left behind her sweet son, Dylan Blade that she loved and adored beyond words, often referring to him as her "miracle".
For almost twenty years Stacey battled countless brain tumors, four brain surgeries, confusion and fatigue and remained positive throughout. She organized her own dance events, "Kids 4 Kids", that collected contributions and toys for kids with cancer, even when she barely had the energy to get out of bed.
Stacey was always happy to have nothing and quick to giveaway her last dollar to someone in need, without ever giving it a thought. Whether it be a friend or a complete unkown standing outiside of a convenience store, Stacey never judged and never saw a difference. To her, a human being was a human being and it was as simple as that.
Stacey did not care about color, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation-Never in her entire life did she utter a bigoted term or phrase to anyone and was quick to set a person straight if she heard it from someone else. I learned so much about this from my big sister and I will forever be greatful.
Stacey deserved so much more than the cards she was dealt, yet with a dancer's spirit so ingrained in her heart she was always happy to settle for less, as long as she was surrounded by family and friends.
I once asked Stacey what it was about dancing taht made her so happy. She simply replied, "All i need is four walls." For those of you lacking in theater and film jargon; the "fourth wall" is the audience.
Stacey had a heart of gold and was a fighter to the end. Her strength allowed her to live past all expectations, touching countless lives along the way. We loved her dearly and she will be missed on a daily basis. Our deepest love and gratitude to all those who helped and supported Stacey on her journey, she truly loved each and every one of you... She had so much love in her heart....
Respectfully,
Brian
P.S. Clare and I are expecting a boy in December that will share Stacey's middle name. "Check plus!"
