

The visitation and funeral service will be held on July 30, 2015. Visitation will begin at 10 am and end at 3:45 pm. Both services will be at the Ted Dickey West Funeral Home. The family is asking for you to wear a piece of Tammy's favorite color purple.
Tammy was born July 12, 1966 in Dearborn MI. She graduated from Woodhaven High School and continued to pursue a higher education throughout the years with the Detroit College of Business and Phoenix University.
Tammy was married to Larry Wellman II on June 22, 1991. They were married for 24 years.
Tammy worked for Comerica Bank for 20 years where she advanced to the position of Officer with the Revenue Management Team. Tammy had a deep love for the Comerica Family. Tammy started at the Downtown Detroit Office, transferred to the Livonia Branch and eventually relocated to the Dallas Office. Tammy's knowledge and passion for her work with Comerica was a great source of pride for her.
Tammy's hobbies were writing, singing, riding motorcycles, video games, and organizing various events. Tammy had a passion for spending time with family and friends. She welcomed all people into her heart and always had a smile for everyone. Tammy was very dedicated to her to her children's education and their extra-curricular activities. Tammy was also involved in many Booster Clubs at the Colony High School during their tenure.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Larry Wellman II, Daughters, Tiffany (Joel) McDowell, Kristy Wellman and Britiany (Mike) Adams and son Zachary Wellman. Grandchildren, Nevaeh and Cece Adams. Surviving parents are Luvinia Cox, Janice Cox, Marty Wellman, Larry and JoAnn Wellman; Her sister Gerry Galinet, brother in-law Shon Wellman and nephew Grant Galinet.
Tammy is preceded in death by her father Odevah Cox, Sr., her brother Odevah Cox, Jr and her brother-in-law Greg Galinet, her beloved grandmother Bertha Worley.
