Terri D Snyder, age 65, of Plano, Texas passed away on Friday May 15, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Terri was born Thursday March 24, 1955 to Martha Timms Hill and Robert Hill in Independence, Kansas. She grew up with her two brothers, David and Daniel Hill. She was the only girl and middle child.
Terri graduated in 1973 from Independence High School and was a proud member of their first girls’ basketball team. She went on to graduate from the University of Kansas, School of Journalism in 1977. She was in the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Terri's sorority pledge class were called "Tunas", however "Tuna" stuck with only Terri. Her sorority friends remember "Tuna" and even their kids know the name.
Terri D Snyder's career path was extensive. She was in Marketing/ Kansas City, United Farm Agency/St. Louis, Kenrick- Add/ Wichita, Pizza Hut & Boca Raton, Dallas/Metromedia Restaurant, Ann Arbor/ Domino’s Pizza, Carrollton/ T.G.I.Fridays, Tampa/Checkers and Rally's Drive ln Restaurants for over 13yrs as the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President.
She met the love of her life and best friend Steve Snyder on a blind date. They were married on December 30, 1978 and were together for 41 years. They had one daughter that they cherish, Stephanie Snyder Scovell. She was extremely proud of Stephanie becoming a Methodist Minister.
She was faithful Methodist.
Terri loved to travel, she had been to many places in her lifetime such as Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Venice, London and many places in between. Her best vacation was to Yellowstone National Park over New Years. She also had a great love of wine from all over the World. She loved going to Mexican restaurants, especially if they served a good margarita.
She will be most remembered for being loving, smart, kind, funny and sometimes stubborn or persistent. She was known for being a positive leader in the workplace and always willing to take the time to listen to others and really help. She was a pleasure to work with and for and loved serving others.
She will greatly missed but not forgotten as being an amazing, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Friend, Coworker and Boss.
Terri is survived by her Husband Steve Snyder; Daughter and Son-in-law, Stephanie and Jason Scovell; Brother and Sister-in-law David and Susan Hill.
Terri was preceded in death by; Father Robert Hill and Mother Martha Timms Hill; Brother Daniel Hill.
