Thomas (Tom) Scott Hacker passed away on January 31, 2023 in Murphy, TX at the age of 80. Tom was born on October 16, 1942 in Dallas, TX to Dr. Guy Leon Hacker and Deane Suzanne Hacker (Campbell). Thomas was raised in University Park, Dallas, TX where he graduated from Parker Institute.
Tom married Judi Ann Hacker (Dunn) in 1999 and together they lived in the Farmers Branch area for over 20 years, where he worked over 10 years at Texas Instruments. He worked as a Real Estate Investor in the area for over 40 years. In his spare time you could often find him at Fellowship Church, where he and Judi were active in their FYI class. Tom enjoyed spending time outdoors and spent many hours working in his workshop doing various projects including wood working. He loved being in nature and spending time with family and friends at the family farm. Tom and Judi loved traveling, camping, fishing and gardening together. When friends and family think of Tom they will remember him as a huge animal lover who was creative, funny, and always had a contagious smile. He never met a stranger and his laughter would often spread to those around him. Those who knew Tom knew of his, sometimes infamous, love of cheese, mustard and corndogs. Thomas Hacker was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be dearly missed.
