

Cottier, Virginia Elizabeth passed away on September 18, 2015. She was born on June 28, 1927 to Merrill and Elizabeth Babbitt in Creston, Iowa . Virginia is survived by her daughters, Cindy Cottier and husband Stuart Jochimsen, Genie Wagner and husband Larry Fought, and Sherree Moran and husband Blake; granddaughters, Melissa Darby and husband Nathan, Noelle Keiley and husband Ben; grandsons, Scott Wagner and wife Kelley, and Jacob Jochimsen; 9 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; brother in laws, Ken Denbow, and Joe Mullen; sister in law, Evonne Babbitt; family friend, Sharon Jochimsen; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded by her husband Eugene Cottier; brothers, Frank Babbitt, and Bill Babbitt; sisters, Barbara Mullen, Nancy Denbow, and Pat Babbitt. After raising three daughters, she went to work at 3M where she enjoyed her job in purchasing for many years. After retiring, she and her husband relocated to Texas to be close to their daughters. They bought a house on Cedar Creek Lake,where they spent many happy years until they became restless, bought a motor home, and headed out to see the USA. They travelled extensively for 5 years until health issues led them back home. Virginia loved to travel, watch birds, play cards and spend time with her family. Virginia spent her last year residing at The Hillcrest of North Dallas.
Service for Virginia will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11 am at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home with interment at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery to follow at 2:00 pm.
