William Robert Ewert, better known as Bill to his family and friends, was born August 31, 1912, the second son of Wilhelm and Sophie (Hagemann) Ewert. Place of birth Oklahoma County, OK, in the area now known as Midwest City.
For a period of forty-four years he was employed in the oil industry serving in various capacities for a number of companies. He retired August 31, 1977 as the Administrative Assistant to the president of Transworld Drilling Co., a subsidiary of Kerr-McGee Corporation, Oklahoma City, OK.
On July 5, 1947 he was united in marriage with Cordelia Edith Wolfe. To this union two sons were born, Larry Robert August 19, 1951, and Jay Donald September, 17, 1953.
His passing came January 13, 2012 preceded by his dear wife Cordelia March 7, 2007, his parents, his brother Elmer, a sister and brother who died in infancy, and most recently by his oldest son Ronald, who died April 9, 2010 in London, England at the age of 70.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and Jay; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many extended family members, and friends.
