Alfonso J. Arena "Al", 86, of Deer Park, New York, passed away on August 16, 2026. Born on September 6, 1939, Alfonso lived a life marked by steady purpose, quiet strength, and deep devotion to those he loved.
A proud Navy veteran, Al carried forward a sense of duty and reliability that shaped the way he met each day. He was hard-working in the truest sense—someone who showed up, did the job right, and took pride in being counted on. In his career as a Service Technician for Verizon, he earned a reputation as “Mr. Fix-it,” known for patient persistence and the kind of practical skill that brought reassurance to others.
Above all, Al was devoted to his family and cherished by them in return. He shared his life with his wife, Annette, and took great joy in his sons, Larry and Robert, and his seven grandchildren. His presence—steady, patient, and loving—will be deeply missed and gratefully remembered.
